Last 16 Predictions - World cup 2010
So the Last 16 are Known and here are Mystic Jarv's predictions for the Last 16 round
England V Germany
here is what i worte on the longer preview of this game
England to win 2-1
Uruguay V South Korea
This i think is one of the toughest games to call and could go either way. Basically i have gone for Korea because i have them in a sweep and want them to win me some money, Very close to call. South Korea to win 1-0
USA V Ghana
Ghana have looked impressive and organised when i have sen them, USA have looked very average and a goal keeping blunder aside would have been on the way home by now. Ghana to win 2-0
Argentina V Mexico
Only one winner here. Mexico have a good side but simply not good enough. Argentina to win 3-1
Holland V Slovakia
Holland are playing ok and haven't hit top gear yet but they have a lot of class and will have too much for Slovakia. They will have to really step up V Brazil in the quarter finals though. Holland to win 2-0
Brazil V Chile
Both these teams know a lot about each other and Brazil won both games agaiunst Chile in qualification. As much as i have been impressed with Chile i can't see them beating Brazil. Brazil to win 3-2
Paraguay V Japan
I was very impressed with Japan against Denmark and they will beat Paraguay, Sadly they then will come up against Spain. Japan to win 2-1
Spain V portugal
Arguably the tie of the round for a neutral and i think this will be a tyough game and very tight until late on when spain will ease away fropm Portugal. Spain to win 3-1

"I don't expect Capello to make any changes to the team that started against Slovenia if everyone is fit except for King or Carragher replacing Upson. I wasn't a fan of Upson and i still think Dawson is a better defender but what i saw of Upson he should definitely play in front of Carragher.
I would still like to see Joe Cole starting but on the left and not as a second striker, this wont happen as Defoe scored and will get another game. That is unless Rooney isn't fit in which case we are done for. After he went off V Slovenia we suddenly became very disjointed and while he may not be scoring, his work rate is second to none."
