Windows 8
A preview of some of the things which we can expect from Windows 8 has been revealed. From the video it looks to me as if they are trying to merge a phone style touch screen interface with that of a PC. While this may work very well and they keep saying will work fine with a Keyboard and mouse also. Here is the Video:

I Have to say it looks quite impressive although I do really like to have a lot of programs pinned to my task bar and while I don't need them active al the time like a widget I do want them easy to get to for the things I use often. A Very small icon at the bottom on a bar is better than a big icon cluttering my screen.

I suppose what I want is almost like a hybrid desktop. A bit like that in the video but also have the taskbar at the bottom of the screen because I don't want everything I have installed to have its own Tile. I have a lot of things installed through Steam and this will get very cluttered very quickly.

Release is still a long way off so I will keep an eye on what is coming from Windows 8.
