Seven Miss out - World Cup 2010 South Africa

So the world cup squads have all been finally announced, no reason now not to join The New Hut Fantasy World Cup Game. There we're no real surprises in the 7 players left out although that's not to say I agree with them but who am I to argue with Fabio Capello.

Well it would be quite dull if I left it there so here are my take on the 7 left out:

Darren Bent - Scored 25 goals this season and still doesn't make the cut yet Heskey who "offers something different" if by different means standing around falling over and occasionally shooting over the bar or wide then yes he does. Heskey has hardly played all season and has been next to useless when he has so bang goes the theory of taking playing and inform players to South Africa.

Michael Dawson - Another player who should feel aggrieved, he's had a fantastic season for Spurs and wasn't even given a chance to show what he can do in either friendly. Matthew Upson has been poor all season but somehow goes, presumably because he has International experience. Dawson also brings understanding playing with King if Terry and Ferdinand are both injured.

Michael Johnson - A Talented Left footed in-form player who has been playing (in front of Wright Phillips for Man City), not sure on the logic behind this one, Again I assume its to do with experience.

Theo Walcott - Would have taken him over Wright Phillips but would have taken Johnson agove instead of him too.

Leighton Baines - Probably touch and go for the left back cover between him and Warnock but Baines would have also given us another player who takes penalties for his club should the need arise.

Tom Huddlestone - Wouldn't have gone for me either

Scott Parker - Should be in-front of Carrick, another one I assume hasn't because of experience but the truth is Carrick has been poor and Parker would have been a better option as a holding midfield player than Carrick.

All of the above is of course as always only my opinion and please feel free to tell me i'm wrong or right
