Three games have dominated my time this year. Fallout 3, Dragon age Origins and the game of the year below. I got into playing Fallout 3 late as my previous machine couldn't run it very well. I have yet to fully finish either this or Dragon age Origins but I have enjoyed both games a lot.

The sequel to Fallout 3 was released in Fallout new Vegas. I own this but haven't had time to play it yet. Medal of Honour was released to a wave of Apathy and the latest addition to the Call of Duty series, Black ops was released. Black ops is a good game and I prefer it to Modern Warfare 2 but it isn't a revolution by any means. Then again none of the Recent Call of duty game have been and all of them have been massively over rated. Don't get me wrong the games are good but are way over hyped.

My favourite game series of all time added the excellent Civilization 5 to the stable. Civ 5 didn't revolutionise the genre but did make some subtle changes making the game more tactical including stopping stacking of units and changed the layout from Squares to hexagons. The changes may be subtle but the game is really good.

For the first time in a few years I did not buy the latest Football manager game. This was because I didn't play the previous one enough and already had a lot of games to play and for me the new version didn't offer enough new to warrant paying for a new game.

Game of the Year Winner 2010 is…….

Starcraft 2

Did you really expect me to pick anything else, since July 27th I have played 339 hours (at current count) on this game. The campaign has 29 missions to play in an era of short poor single player games and it also has a competitive balanced multiplayer scene unlike the Call of duty franchise which is much more skewed to players who have more free time. This game will be a tournament staple for many years to come.

There are a number of games I am really looking forward including Dragon age 2, Diablo 3, Mass effect 3, Deus Ex Human revolution, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Guild wars 2 and of Course Duke Nukem Forever….Come get some!
