Bernie Has Lost It

Bernie really has lost it with his artificial rain idea. The people in charge of F1 need to stop making stupid changes to increase excitement. Formula 1 is not a game show it should be the pinacle of motor sport. Movable rear wings aren't needed when a simple make the tyres more grippy socars can follow round corners could be done easier. If they can follow closer round corners and the auerodynamics aren't as messed up then cars can slip stream and overtake much easier.

Formula one doesn't need gimmicks it needs proper racing. I can undertsnad KERS being brought in as that will at least have real world applications. Going back to the artificial rain idea, i don't know any one F1 fan that thinks this is a good idea so i am not sure where Bernies claim that it has a lot of support comes from. Perhaps he should ask the fans but then they might tell him to get lost.

Ecclestone has also come out against the proposaed Engine changes for 2013 onwards. These are similar engines used previously in the Turbo Charged era and i don't recall people turning away in droves because it was less noisy. Bernie says the noise is the first thing that grabs someone when they go and see F1 maybe because it6s really loud but really who goes to F1 because its noisy? Perhaps Bernie can sell them a ticket on the embankment of the M1 (don't do this i'm pretty sure its illegal to go and sit on a motorway embankment).

I read today that Ecclestone is talking to the mayor of New York about a potential race in New York. Yet more nonesense. If we really must have two US races why not goto Laguna Seca, you know, a real quality circuit. If they really need an east coast one surely there are at least some proper circuits already. If they really must make a new circuit at least make it a proper circuit 100% of the year and don't let Herman Tilke anywhere near it.

Stop trying to turn Formula one in to its a knockout racing, It doesn't need gimmicks it needs proper racing.
