Spurs had a great run in the Champions league last season, knocking off both Milan clubs along the way to be finally knocked out by Real Madrid. Sadly for Spurs fans they didn't make the top four and wont be in the competition this season. I understand its top 4 their main priority but I really believe if they play a full strength team the Europa League might be within their grasp and a European Trophy is not to be sniffed at.

I actually think they will end up going out weakly somewhere where they ought to have won if they treat it properly. Modric has been linked with a move away all summer but is still there and is going to be a key player if they can keep him motivated if he stays or buy a proper replacement if he leaves.

Tottenham have added Brad Friedel to their keeper line up and this seems like a great move as hes much better than Gomes and this should be worth a few extra points this season. Another key acquisition they need is a quality striker as last season none of their really cut the mustard. The ones they have are decent but struggled last season.

Betting
their strike force being lacking is highlighted by Defoe being the shortest price bet for top scorer at around 33/1 with most bookies and 40/1 with some. At between 40/1 and 66/1 to lift the title they are 6th favourites which is where I think they will finish unless they either get their strikers firing or buy someone in to get them 20 goals this season.
