So then, after a weekend off the premier league is back. There are just 8 weekends left until the last round of premier league games with a week break for the FA cup final this year because the Champions league needs 2 full free weeks before it at Wembley. The strange thing this year is there will be a full program of premier league fixtures the same weekend as the FA cup apart rom the 2 teams and who they are supposed to be playing of course.
If Man United are there i hope they can fit in the game they should be playing that week, Away at Blackburn, earlier on because if everyone gets a full weeke between their last 2 games then it would be beneficial to not have less time to prepare if the title race goes down to the wire. Obviosuly the ideal thing from my point of view would be to wrap up the title the week before against Chelsea.
Capello once again made himself to look like a pillock twice by not bothering to speka to Ferdinand to tell him he was changing captain to Terry and then again by releasing Terry and giving it to Barry for the Ghana game. Ghana aren't happpy about facing an under strength England team, they have sold a staggering 21,000 tickets to Wembley. This apparently is the largest amount any travelling Nation has brought there and they should be applauded and not disrespected by giving their fans an under strength England team.
Its not fair in the England fans who have shelled out to watch it either. This is half my problem with Friendlies, If England are going to bother to arrange them they should at least take them seriously. On the plus side Rooney has been released so wont pick up an injury before the run in of hopefully 15 games in 8 weeks (8 Premier league, 2 FA Cup and 5 Champions league, hopefully).
Capello proved once again to be a massive hypocrit this week accusing Mourinho of Disrespect over claims he was hours away from signing the contract before the FA turned to Capello when Jose turned it down. Well Jose has always looked out for number one but the way Capello has treated some of Englands playes during his tenure, perhaps he should be looking a little closer to home before pointing fingers elsewhere.
Avram grant claims referees have cost them 10 points this season. I wonder if he will also get at least a 3 game ban and he's criticised at least 4 referees there. Lets see if the FA are hpocrits or not.
Anyway here are my predictions this week
Saturday 2nd April West Ham 1 - 3 Man Utd Birmingham 1 - 0 Bolton Everton 1 - 0 Aston Villa Newcastle 2 - 0 Wolves Stoke City 1 - 1 Chelsea WBA 1 - 2 Liverpool Wigan 1 - 3 Tottenham Arsenal 3 - 1 Blackburn
Sunday 3rd April Fulham 1 - 0 Blackpool Man City 3 - 1 Sunderland
