Lots of predictions this week, there are premier league games up until Wednesday and 2 FA Cup semi finals. It has been  a busy week also with the Champions league quarter finals concluding and sadly there is only one British club left in the competition, Manchester United who will play FC Schalke. The Other semi final is what the Spanish call "el Classico", Real Madrid v Barcelona. I fully expect a Manchester United v Barcelona final at Wembley in which, if it is the case, I hope United put in a better display than the last time they met in the final. Last time United dominated the first 10 minutes and very nearly scored, had it gone in it may have been a different game. Once Barcelona settled however they were never in danger of losing through the final 80 minutes, especially once they scored.

The FA proved themselves that they aren't interested in being fair and even handed this week with several examples of swearing at the ref and Crouch blatantly using the same words Rooney did which were audible on football first on the camera yet Match of the Day ignored it.

With the M1 being closed today this highlights the stupidity of having 3 teams from the north west and one from the Midlands travelling to London to play the semi finals, it seems Money is a lot more important than the fans these days.

It is a massive 7 days for the season this week with Arsenal playing their game in hand against Liverpool and then playing Spurs away. United play Newcastle in the league on Tuesday and City in the cup so both clubs season could be quite different after this weekend. 2 wins for arsenal and they are still in the race, anything less could mean the title race is effectively over.

At the bottom there are some big games also Blackpool have to get 3 points in their next 2 home games or they will be done. Blackburn have a tough trip to Everton and risk being relegated which would not have happened had they not sacked Big Sam. Birmingham and Sunderland are both at the wrong end of the table and had Sunderland not had the great start to the season they would be in a whole world of trouble. They still could go down but I don't believe they will

Anyway here are this weeks predictions

Manchester United 3 - 1 Manchester City
Sunday 17th April
