No I haven't just got up I've been up for a bit and I'm please to say no hangover…Yay. Last night we went out for a Curry and some drinks in Snafu.

We met up before curry in what used to be Nellie Denes and is now called the Bridge inn as it was before being named Nellie's. We used to go to Nellies for many years up until September 08 to play pool every Thursday when a combination of factors, George the landlady abandoned us(only kidding George) and took a better job in Mansfield and we were going to struggle for enough players in the 08/09 season.

I was quite impressed, there was a band on later on whom we didn't stay for but there was a generally good atmosphere, some light rock music being played and generally the place had been spruced up. We almost had to have a minutes silence over the lack of a pool table though  the only sign there was ever a pool team in the pub was 4 round marks where the legs used to be on the wooden floor.

We had a table booked at Minar Balti on Domine lane in Rotherham which is now apparently called Sanaam Balti. We didn't know at the time of booking but they have a 4 course meal del for £7.50 which consists of poppadoms , standard starter, standard curry and rice or Nan bread. You could have things off the other lists or extras for a slight bit extra. I had Chicken Kashmir which I think I've only had once before and that time it was after lots of beer, The food was really nice and I think everyone enjoyed theirs. I would happily recommend there for someone wanting a curry and I'm sure we will visit again.

Snafu was its usual busy self although maybe a little less busy than it has been in the past but that's to be expected just after Christmas, The Band, Top Gun, seemed decent enough and did a mix of classic covers.

After a while a few of us de-camped to our house for a few more drinks & All in all a good night seemed to be had by all, at least I think they did.
