DeathBowl Rules

That which does not kill us makes us stronger!

Death Bowl is played on a specially designed pitch with four teams. The teams line up on or behind the four heavy black lines, in their own randomly determined side. They must have at least three players on the line. There is no kick-off, but the ball is placed in one of the four centre squares, randomly chosen (D4). The last line of squares in each side-section is the End Zone. To score (and win) you must get a standing model with the ball into the End Zone opposite from your starting position.

Roll a D6 to determine which team goes first, and continue clockwise from there. It is a mad rush fo the ball, and Nuffle help the poor creature who gets it!


Who Plays?

Death Bowl is played at the end of each season with the 4 lowest teams playing.

Assisting a Block

Once a coach declares a block, and only after he has declared it, any opposing players may declare an assist, for either side. Consistency of choice is not required.

Special Play Cards

No Special Play Cards are allowed, except for one Dirty Trick per team.

Gate

In order to work out how many fans attend the match roll 2 D6 Plus Fan factor for each team Add the totals together, and them multiply the score by 1000. plus an extra 5,000 fans who turn up as interested "Neutrals". - the result is the number of fans that attend the match.

Healing

No Apothecaries, Healing Scrolls, or Regeneration is allowed in the Death Bowl.

Wizards

Wizards, including Halfling Master Chefs and Dwarven Alchemists, are allowed.

Referees

There are no referees in the world crazy enough to come onto the pitch in a Death Bowl. No penalties are ever called, except Illegal Procedures.


Winning

First team to score a touchdown wins. The winning team gets a 50,000gp bonus to their normal receipts.

Teams may receive bonuses to their Treasury roll based on Gate. No team gets any bonus MVPs for handicaps. All teams receive a +1 FAME for their gate reciepts roll and the winners recieve a +2 FAME. All teams Fan factor goes up by 1 in addition the winning team make make an extra roll to see if theirs goes up twice .

The Player who scores the winning touchdown will recieve the Skill "Fan Favourite" until the next Deathbowl

There are no penalties for losing the SYBBL Death Bowl. The intention is to provide some extra experience and cash to the lower ranked teams.
