Civilization

Now this is a game, or series of games , which has taken up a lot of my time over the years. The Civilization series is the very embodiment of "just one more turn" which turns into 20 more turns, which turns into blimey its 4am.

The original now looks dated but at the time was a fantastic game, and still is. "Civ 2" is still my favourite game of the series and probably the one i have spent most time playing over the years. Civ 4 was a great game as well and made even better by the warlords expansion. I don't have as much time for games these days or i would probably have played this version more than 2.

The next instalment is Civilization 5 which i am really looking forward to.

Sid Meier really is a genius when it comes to creating addictive turn based strategy games, although Alpha Centauri wasn't stellar (pun very much intended)

i will write more later but for now I'm off to just play "one more turn"
